I bought Shield just for Allister. But I also think the Galar League itself is really interesting, and I don't think that many people know about it (which, of course, can be faulted on the game). To summarize for those who aren't in the know:
>Every type has a gym.>The top 8 performing gyms are in the "major league," while the rest are in the "minor league.">Major league gym leaders get to participate in the championship for a chance to claim the title of Galar Champion.>Minor league gym leaders can challenge major league gym leaders to take their spot.>This creates an environment where gym leaders—both major and minor—are constantly training to get stronger.Combined with the fact that all gym leaders receive personal training by Mustard, Galar really does come off as competitive and strong, which fits the sports theme. I'd love if the Galar League was expanded upon, either in the anime or even in another expansion pass.
