The first hint off of the top of my head is the image I posted with Ash and May having dinner together, after she managed to persuade him, instead of just rushing to Petalburg City like originally planned.
She was rather flirty from the start too, and really didn't give a darn about her bike, except blackmailing Ash ever so slightly so they could do stuff together (ex: Dinner)
