I try to make it a personal policy to never disregard the praise of others, but from my perspective I'm always trying to grasp at something beyond my current level of imagination and/or writing skill. Gets frustrating at times since I'm constantly reminded of my status as an amateur but I try to see it as proof that I'm moving towards some sort of growth.
As for the copyrighted material bit, I think Furia as we know it right now will remain fanfic but I don't really consider it wasted effort or anything. The ideas and concepts that it's made of can always be reimagined or used somewhere else for an original story. Part of the charm for it that drives me to keep going is being able to share it here in the first place, and that's more than enough for me right now.
As for yoga pants, wasn't me. For me, it's work skirts. Maybe jeans too. Yoga pants are just too common nowadays, even if they do activate my neurons.
