So I'm finally done watching Johto for the very first time. Thought I'd share a few thoughts off the top of my head.
Overall Johto was enjoyable. Inferior to Kanto and Orange Islands, but most episodes were at least fine. Some were pretty great. Only a handful were amazing, but they exist nonetheless.
Silver Conference had better battles than the Indigo League, but the latter had much better pacing, world building etc. At 160 episodes, it's stupid that they had to rush it.
Misty was surprisingly good, and she starred in a decent number of eps and had good arcs/battles/motivations and raised two Pokémon pretty thoroughly. Brock however was completely fucked, and only had one episode dedicated to him (the contest with the Vulpix lady), though that was an excellent ep.
