>>33511205Except for the fact that most people's complaints with SM were the cutscenes, tutorials, railroading and plot, which the Unova games do identically. For example, take going from the first town to getting to second gym's town.
>upon reaching the first town, you are unable to leave to check out Route 2.>Juniper and Bianca show you around the Pokecenter. You are forced to heal.>cutscene plays where Ghetsis gives his speech. N is introduced, and you battle him.>you beat N, and go to Route 2.>Mom calls, and you get the Running Shoes.>Bianca shows up, and you battle her.>the door to the gym is blocked, as the Leaders are not there. You also cannot leave town until you beat them, and perform Fennel's task.>Cheren is in the Trainer's School and you battle him.>the gym is now open. You beat Cilan or his siblings.>Fennel tells you to get Dream Mist. You and Bianca see Team Plasma abuse a Munna. You fight them both.>Fennel teaches you how to use the C-Gear. Saying no does nothing.>you are now able to leave. Cheren shows up again to fight you, again.>Bianca tells you Team Plasma stole a girl's Pokemon. You and Cheren have to beat them before progressing.>Cheren teaches you about Dark Grass.>upon reaching the town, Cheren walks you to the Pokecenter. This is about the same amount of dialogue and cutscenes that later games have. It is totally hypocritical to excuse this in BW, but use it as a negative in the later games. Also, in no way am I excusing the new problems present in Gen VI and VII, nor do I care for "gen I pandering".
