I'm really fed up of hearing this bullshit, because if anybody has played a single game for longer than a few minutes they'd know it isn't true.
I'm sorry to break this to everyone, but Pokemon is an entry level RPG.
Every Pokemon game eases you in with very simply worded tutorials because these games are primarily aimed at children. Adults can enjoy them, especially the competitive battling side. But nothing in these games is designed in a way that would alienate or confuse children.
I mean for fucks sake one of the biggest complaints aimed towards the most recent games was that the entire first island was a 2 hour long unskipable tutorial.
Not to mention, the "800 or so is too many Pokemon!" is also clearly from retards who haven't even bothered to touch a single game. There isn't a single Pokemon game that has had every single Pokemon at the time available since Red and Blue.
They always select a reasonable amount. Usually from around 151 to 400. The most we've ever had in a regional dex was 457.
The only part of Pokemon that is even close to complicated is the competitive side, that being EV's, IV's and Natures. But again, anyone who's actually tried playing a game in the series before whining and bitching about how its too complicated knows you literally don't even have to know what those are to play the games normally. This is evident enough in the fact that a lot of people still don't.
And yet there are still people out there who think Pokemon needs to be simplified further? Are you fucking kidding me?
How do these retards get dressed in the morning?
