Duskull evolves into Dusclops at level 37 and has phenomenal defensive stats. Shuppet evolves into Banette also at level 37 and can hit surprisingly very hard with a STAB Shadow Ball (level 48, though you get the TM here also) off of its 115 base Attack stat.
Climb to the summit and take down some more Aqua Grunts (geez, Magma really gets gipped in Emerald, huh?). Both Magma and Aqua were after the Blue and Red Orbs respectively to awaken a couple of legendary Pokemon...
