My grandfather died recently, after years of his dementia getting progressively worse, eventually he stopped eating, drinking and talking, and spent the last 2 weeks of his life on a hospital bed without uttering a single word before passing away. And just the day after his funeral my GF got into a car accident, luckily she only suffered minor injuries and one dislocated finger, but it was terryfing getting the news, I assumed the worst when I heard it.
