In Gen 4 it was hovering around top 5 but after it got a Mega it stole the #1 slot as my super favorite and hasn't left. I actually used to be big into comp Pokemon until Smogon banned Mega Maw, it was legal later on but I'm glad I stopped, comp Pokemon is a trap to keep players addicted to this shitty series, I can thank Mawile for giving me a chance to play other franchises instead of sinking more time into this tire fire.

Yup. I have to convince myself not to use it any game/gen it's available. And even then about half the time I use it anyway. Unbelievably based design with incredible stats too. I do miss the dark resist though

I always liked this little fucker in the anime, so I kinda wanted one in my first game, Crystal. The idea that maybe I can catch one if I go just a bit further drove me through two regions and sixteen gyms, so what started as "kinda wanted one" became an incredibly intense satisfaction when I finally made it to Mt. Silver and caught one.
