The battles were insanely slow (tanky Pokemon were particulary insufferable as their health bar would take age to go down) and travel was an all time annoying, mainly due to sluggish travel speed and overreliance on HMs, particulary during Mt Coronet. While Pokemon is clearly not known for good plots, DP was particulary bad at it, very weak villain team with even more nonsensical plot than Aqua / Magma's retarded ideas, and even the climax just feels really dull. It had also a shit rival with Barry, very weak new Pokemons (a huge chunk of the new evolutions are particulary hideous, what the fuck did they think with Electivire?) and the beginning of legendary inflations.
Cynthia was hot and a very decent battle, but overall they were really slow and uninteresting games to go through. I kinda wonder how well Gen 6 would be recieved if there was a Pokemon Z, considering how much people like Platinum here overall.
