To bump the thread, I feel we should probably start talking about what Pokémon Niantic will put into the summer season and what the general theme will be. Generally speaking, it seems Nintendo considers mushrooms to be more of a fall theme, and since Shellder and Trubbish were available during the winter season, we may only see Sableye, Staryu, and maybe Meowth in the wild as an easy way to build up stardust (hopefully most of the Pokémon aren’t only available at night like how Sableye and Foongus were in the spring). Outside of that, I imagine Niantic will make this the Season of Megas to both correlate with the Season of Legends and allow themselves to push out multiple megas per month as an incentive to spend money since (theoretically) remote raid passes will be heavily nerfed soon (also it would fit Swablu and Gible CD well in theme, hopefully), though they could make it more based around music, considering Go Fest, so we might finally see some new sound-based moves like Uproar, Round, Echoed Voice, Hyper Voice, and Boomburst making their debut and having pretty good starts in GBL. It would also be a good opportunity fora Whismur community day, since a sound-based moveset is the main thing Exploud lacks.
