If you’re older than 10 and have played any video game, you can beat these games.
If you’re emulating, start with an emerald rom hack that adds everyone pokemon.
If just console, I’d start with HGSS as it is peak pokemon and has lots of options.
If you only have a switch, I’d start with Scarlet and Violet. Which are lackluster in terms of graphics and disappointing for life time pokemon players. But for someone new, if you can get over the graphics the gameplay loop is pretty fun.
