It was clearly meant to be built as some sort of a special sponge or a slow special attacker that could revenge kill, especially with Analytic, but the stats just don't quite cut it defensively. Also for a Pokémon that seems built for double battles with Telepathy and a ton of support moves, I was surprised to learn that a lot of its moves ended up being cut when GF started going cuckoo with removing stuff from the games over the last few years. It's still usable, but it has super limited options now if it ever comes back. This is what I would do to try and buff it:
>-10pts from useless Attack, split +25pts between HP, Def and SpDef. Now it has a 500BST.
>Give it regained access to Heal Block, Imprison, Simple Beam, Charge Beam, Signal Beam, and whatever the fuck else they felt like cutting
>Have it now learn: Lumina Crash, Dazzling Gleam, Power Gem, Ancient Power, Spotlight, Terrain Pulse, Laser Focus and Speed Swap. I think it would also be funny if it learned Infestation and/or First Impression, considering it's an alien.
These just sort of update its move pool and give it more tools to play with. Lumina Crash + Analytic sounds devastating in lower tiers where you could really demolish shit with the combo, and being able to throw this thing out in Doubles and cripple things with Speed Swap then proceed to sweep with coverage or abuse other status moves like Gravity just sounds like fun.
