Similar to how there has to be a regional bird, or a regional rat, or a regional Pikachu-clone or regional legendaries that you're forced to encounter and sometimes even catch. What I listed adds up to about almost 20 Pokemon doing the exact same shit every generation
Especially now we're nearing a thousand and every new region is barely giving us 70? I don't mind separate Pokemon from unique lines but we've gotten to the point we're actually abandoning and leaving Pokemon useless instead of building on them in real ways than "new,
replacement forms"
