You create your character like in Diablo 3 with powers, weapons, gear, destroying minions galore, maximizing your character, crit damage finding legendary weapons and jewels
and just like your follower how you give it the moves and weapons and jewels your pokemon team can go out and fight the hordes of monsters because maybe it can have two modes searching for pokemon (traditional exploration and catching) and the adventure mode where the story is set where you need to fight with your team and train them
You could find set armor for pokemon so if its your favorite you could match and increase the sync damage
Pokemon can wear gear and jewels more specifically with megastones so they can get bonus set damage if you are wearing the megastone jewel so
You basically play pokemon as is with the options of choosing what moves it learns and you can use a paragon level system for specific EVs and IVS
And like you could PVP teams very easily
and Have 1v1 Fights like in pokken
Your pokemon are crazy ass pokken fighters and you the class you picked and like it would grind so much but look so cool with this kind of engine going on
They would follow you around and auto attack and it would be fun as fuck!
