This is what I sort of meant by being better at short scenes. I already tend to cram everything into a short space, so when I write longer things, I tend to struggle with coming up with something to add more text. Focusing on a simple scene lets me focus on cramming more detail in so to say, which is what I enjoy about writing. The 4th paragraph where Debby takes flight was my favorite in that piece.
Details and descriptive actions is where I feel I do best, or at least that's what I enjoy writing.
