Maractus is outclassed by Ferroseed and Roselia at setting entry hazards and Cradily is a much better bulkier storm drain grass type that can also set hazards.
At least Maractus had a miniscule supportive niche Carnivine lacks a niche entirely a slow grass type with levitate it can only hope to sleep powder which just about any other grass type can do but far better, they gave no shits about Carnivine. There is that new move for galarian Stunfisk snap trap thats is inexplicably a grass type move its wishful thinking but maybe it'll be applied to Carnivine or its just the almost equally awful mess thats Galarian Stunfisk.
