Hello there, anons of VP! Amateur developer here, while I have a lot to learn and may not be very experienced, I came to this board to have a open discussion about what might have happened with SWSH.
While I am indeed enjoying this game, there's many things I feel that could be a lot better, for example I think that a lot of work went into the Galar Mines and Dynamax feature but the trees in the wild area and some aspects were indeed rushed.
Plus a good half the pokemon are missing, including a lot of the starter lineups and legendaries, some of the most popular and well known pokemon ever.
I think I could get a decent mindset of what was happening during SWSH's development if I saw what the oldest file in the game was and or when it was last worked on.
Sadly I do not have that kind of experience to look within the files or crack into them and I really don't want to screw anything up with my switch, so perhaps could someone else look?
If we can find the oldest file in the games, I might have a idea how long it was in development, what happened and what's going on.
