The concept is really simple, it's just a lizard that hides in the ground and camouflages as a bush to protect itself from predators, the bush on its back can also grow berries to aid those in need (like Chansey's belly egg). Typing is obviously ground/grass because Torterra is the only Pokémon with this typing.
