You're able to use the built-in mic to call out actions you wanna make with your Pokemon, moves, items, mega evolution, Z-Moves, etc.
When you have 4+ affection you're also able to call out for a mon to dodge, wake up, cure it's status condition or get a crit, and increase the chance Amie gives you at performing those actions.
Also, if your Pokemon has met the correct conditions for evolution during battle,
if you call out some shit like "[Insert Pokemon here], I believe in you!" it'll evolve mid-fight.
