That's the league all taken care of!
Will was completely steamrolled by Babybel, who made good use of Shadow Ball being a physical attack still.
Koga was similarly blasted through by Niche, using his various elemental punches to blast through, Muk being a 3KO, but not able to do much to retaliate.
Bruno was a little trickier, D'Lease took down Hitmontop with ease, but had to switch out when Onix came out. Mimi Miami took the Onix out, but then came Hitmonlee who again forced a switch. Niche was able to come in and finish the rest of Bruno's team off, taking negligible damage from Hitmonchan's Fire Punch and surprisingly little damage from Machamp's Rock Slide
Karen was a bit of a doozy, her Umbreon was a team effort between D'Lease and Babybel until they were finally able to take the thing out, but not without suffering some chip damage. Her Gengar went down to a crit Wing Attack from D'Lease and Murkrow to a (likely) full power Return, but then in came Houndoom. Return does a lot of damage, but leaves it at a sliver as it goes for Flamethrower. I thought I might've lost D'Lease, but he lives on 32HP and a burn that thankfully doesn't proc because of early gen mechanics. Mimi Miami comes in as Karen heals Houndoom, I figure a Surf might not kill so I go for Ancientpower in hopes of scoring an omniboost. That doesn't quite go my way and a Crunch does way too much damage, so in comes Babybel. She survives a Crunch with not much HP to spare, but thankfully she outspeed and finishes Houndoom off with a safe Body Slam, leaving Niche to take out her Vileplume.
After that battle I was expecting Lance to be a trainwreck, but Niche manages to decimate the greatest Bird Keeper's team like it was nothing, eating a Flamethrower from his Charizard as that was the only mon he couldn't oneshot, but twoshotting it easily.
Now, on to Kanto proper!
