The thought was that there was this kid in some hospital/research facility with a unique strain of some illness or something (some compelling reason that would "justify" medical professionals studying a child for medical research)
Anyway, the idea was that they kept him entertained and complacent by showing him a bunch of Pokemon shows that were made for kids and having a couple captured pokemon play with him.
One day he just fucking walks out of their cause he gets it in his head that he's gonna go on a pokemon adventure, and he gets his ass saved from certain death by a Zoroark (because who would have thought pokemon can be dangerous)
And then they just go about doing shit while this Zoroark becomes a psuedo-father figure for the incompetent kid who knows nothing about society.
