Gen 7 is unironically the generation I enjoyed the most since gen 3. Gen 4 and 5 were ok but I never saw the appeal, gen 6 was bland and I barely consider SwSh Pokémon games.
With Sun for the first time in forever I was actually excited to play a new Pokémon game, find new Pokémon, discover new areas, find out what happened next in the story etc.

There is something off about this gen.
Maybe it didn't click with me enough, having very restricted water areas, dumb island trials, possibly worst linear routes and forgettable designs (except Legendaries and UBs they were all cool as fuck)

So this time we are gonna do the opposite.

I actually thought Sword was decent despite the hand holding. I dropped Sun because I felt there was too much of it and being constantly stopped for cutscenes. Was I too hard on the game? Should I go back?

XY felt like a tech demo. Sword/Shield has just more than just Pokemon missing.
