Realistically I'd probably just have a leafeon. They're reasonably sized and eevees are easy to find, even given out as starters. It feeds on sunlight so it's low maintenance. Doesn't like to fight which suits me fine, I'm not a competitive person and wouldn't battle frequently if at all.
