The DP protags are commonly thought to be 10-11 years old, and are explicitly stated to be 15 years old in PLA. Thus there is a 4-5 year timeskip between DP and the "modern day" of PLA. Mapping this onto real world years, if DP took place in 2006, then Dawn would have been abducted by Arceus around 2010-11.
