compared to the hustle and bustle of most of the rest of unova, anville being a location you have to go out of your way to go to while also having so little functionality just makes it that much more appealing for me, i'm a sucker for those kinds of locations in any game that just add to the world.
the little actual functions the town has in the weekend item traders and the lost and found, while just serving as nice bonuses, really add to the feeling of anville being a little resting place for travelers
of course, anville's near uselessness can easily be seen as a negative, but i just can't fault it for that since it's obviously just designed to be a cute little town to give you a little break from your adventure
