Anyone else not particularly hate any part of Pokemon? I eventually find enough good qualities of anything Pokemon.
>Pokemon Channel
Simple, cute game with lots of soul. I don't see the problem.
>SWSH
Greedy business model with some things like Pokemon Home and DLC on top of an already expensive game, lazy animation, and dex cuts, but it was responsible for introducing some great new Pokemon like Zacian.
>The worst Gen, Gen 7
The peak of the game being stripped of Japanese soul and marketed to westerners. Even in Gen 5, it mixed American elements with Japanese elements well. Gen 6 somewhat poorly, but it still created a unique world. Then Gen 7 comes along and creates a gimmicky Hawaii game that was cute and soulful but ultimately the generation where Pokemon's quality went down greatly. This was the generation of Pokemon Go and LGPE, where they were recycling shit, becoming lazier, and overall were losing soulful quality. But still, I enjoyed all this stuff. LGPE and PG experimented with brand new concepts, though both weren't amazing. PG also had Niantec spyware. But it got people outside and seemed okay as far as mobile games go, but lots of paid currency and whatnot were also present. LGPE were weak games but cute for casual normies I guess.
>Second worst generation, Gen 6
Game was dumbed down and Americanized through aesthetic and nostalgia pandering. I'd put it below Gen 7 if LGPE came out during Gen 6. Introduced some iconic Pokemon and great music to the franchise.
I've mostly just felt positive feels for Pokemon despite its shortcomings. I can acknowledge the shortcomings, but the little things like poffins really kept me sucked in and it's been a nice feature the games weren't always strictly linear or competitive. Kept me entertained throughout childhood. Also always liked the movies and anime.
Do you feel devoted to Pokemon and positive about it, also? I feel it's something rare in the Pokemon fandom. (No, I don't attack people who criticize it.)
