It's too bad that there are so many forgettable NPCs in XY. I actually like having weird, bombastic gym leaders and Elite Four members, but Kalos was Hoenn-tier for memorable characters (as in, there are two or three who are memorable, but that's it). It even has the least memorable champion. At least Iris has the anime and Wallace has how ridiculous gay he is, Diantha's got nothing.
