1. The new Pokemon designs look stupid. It feels even more cartoony than before.
2. We are set in Galar, the region based on England. I don't know if it's a cruel joke or not, but why make the Champion, rival, gym leader minority? England is predominantly filled by Caucasians. I sound like a racist, but honestly it's just weird.
3. The graphics are horrible for an entry level main-series game on Nintendo Switch. It looks like a Gamecube game on wild areas and early PS3 in some.
4. The animations are terrible. This is 2019, it is literally unacceptable that a character would feel stoic in an advanced console.
5. Battle animations are terrible.
6. It was a terrible idea to not include the National Pokedex. YES, you may not catch every single Pokemon in Galar, but you should have been able to transfer ALL from Gen I - VII.
6a Why cut Mega Evolution?
6b Why cut Z-Moves?
6c What the fuck is up with Dynamax? It sucks, it only takes up memory, and it made the already terrible model of Pokemon more prominent. It looks like a parade balloon.
7. Dialogues are cheesy and asinine.
8. It feels empty, like the first version before them.
I was planning to buy a Nintendo Switch together with a new copy of Pokemon Sword or Shield, but now I think I'm going to hold off on doing either and see if the third version brings in more features and ALL FUCKING POKEMON.
