Very short explanations
Unown: I had a VHS of the Mystery of Unown movie long ago, and could always relate a bit to the main character. I didn't really feel alone, but usually I felt powerless. I guess I always wished I could be doted on and pampered, in a way. In my mind, who wouldn't? So when I saw the Unowns able to change reality just to please some little girl, I liked them. They seemed so alien and otherwordly, and I was intrigued with the actual mystery of the Pokémon Unown. We knew all we needed to know and more about legendaries back then in the era pre-internet but these little guys were a complete intrigue. As I grew older, I appreciated them more from a design standpoint, and as I got much much older I kinda developed a fetish for them. My favorite Unowns are !, i, x, t and q. In-games, I would much rather have ! or i.
Luvdisc: My first boyfriend ever gifted me one on Pokémon Black, and I used it religiously. It was probably just a cliche gesture, but I grow attached to them and all they represent, and I used Luvdisc during my Pokémon Black first playthrough, which I did on a somewhat "dark" point of my life when I underwent lots of emotional turmoil. It has been several years since that, and the relationship with that guy are all but history, but my love for Luvdisc remains. I always found ironic how the Pokémon meant to represent a lovely gift is so loated by the fans, but I always treasure the fish.
