Whenever I get a new pokemon, I always make sure it has that blue arrow pointing up before using it. Nothing bothers me more than seeing that down pointing red arrow attached to a pokemon, and the only time it doesn't bother me is if the pokemon is obviously feminine-looking in its design. I don't care if a pokemon has a good nature and perfect IV's, if it's not feminine-looking but it still has that red arrow attached to it, I WILL NOT use it!
