I don't know how you took that reading away from PokemonIn every single game there is an "evil" team that you must defeat and overcome in order to progress through the game. It's incredible that it's been such a consistent theme and that these teams rarely get portrayed as anything other than mindless grunts following orders. It teaches children horrible lessons by dehumanizing them and putting them all in basically identical uniforms and saying "these are the bad guys, go beat them up".
As if none of the members of the team are even human beings. Maybe they joined out of desperation, or economic hardship. Why did these teams even form in the first place? Does anyone even care about these people as individuals?
