Record low number of new Pokemon added is a negative, but 99% of the new Pokemon have exceptionally good designs. Some of the best in the series actually.
Gym Leaders are trash. Too easy and forgetable as fuck.
Kalos is surprisingly a pretty great region.

Poor replay value due to a combination of the long as fuck tutorial and bad pacing throughout.
Pokemon designs are rather good.
Kahuna's are good and the Totem battles are great and provide some of the more challenging fights in the series.
Alola still manages to be a fun region despite feeling small and linear.
Hau actually ain't so bad this time around, but I still don't like this style of rival.
Team Skull are stellar and the Aether Foundation are also great.
Excellent music, may even be the best in the series.
