what is there besides end up in a dead end job that makes you want to blow your brains out? and don't tell me "just go out" because it's not that simple, you know it isn't, the only real alternative is doing something completely stupid that'll bite you in the ass one way or another and that's by design to keep you where you are like a good little drone, you want to know what happens every time I tried to do something new or good? I get fucked over by petty bullshit or drama so I'm just done with trying to please people with impossible standards, there are no swash buckling adventures on the sea, there are no dragons to slay, you know what you get? tax forms and people wielding what little power they have like a cudgel if you even think about stepping out of line, inversely even when you do good they'll keep you where you are because why would they replace their best? they'll give you just enough to keep you on the mouse wheel but never enough to ever join them and even if you get that power like they do you'll be expected to wield it as they do.
there's no winning, most you can get is an endless stalemate, with only escapism to give you a temporary albeit false break from it.
