Because the obnoxious nuzlocketubers heavily lean on playing these super OP Drayno/Kaizo tier hacks which leads to consensus within the fanbase to fit this style of game, such as
A. A boring centralization on meta strategies for runs/a larger emphasis for getting specific encounters to pre-plan for specific Pokemon to the point where you need to get multiple specific Pokemon with stats at a specific level in order to consistently succeed (like compare the average Emerald Kaizo checklist to the mainseries where at the very most your only obligatory team members is something along the lines of "Bring an Ice type/Beam for Dragonite/Garchomp"
B. Emphasis on multiple, often an absurd amount, of attempted runs in order to finally get a successful run, rather than the story based structure of self-contained all or nothing runs with each members successes and deaths being more significant than "welp there goes the Slowbro of attempt 38". Additionally to minimize downtime for their streams they implement hacking in levels or "candypilling" which not only removes grinding as a factor in challenge but fundamentally changes how they team build, as instead of building a solid core of six maybe seven mons to deal with the game, occasionally having to train up something new to replace a dead member, they rare candy tailored teams for specific encounters, ie "well I caught these Gastly and Abra and at level 3 that I never used but now i'll candy them up to 45 to destroy this gym leader"
C. Just fucking play Pokemon Showdown at that point you mong
