Being a Grassfag fucking sucks, holy shit. I like Grass pokemon because I find the mix of animal and plant traits to be very charming and I also like cutemons like Bounsweet and Chikorita. They're adorable! But holy fucking shit, it's so hard to use them! I run a Tsareena on my battle spot team and she maybe gets 1 turn of usage before having to U Turn out because everything resists Grass or kills Grass with a coverage move. At this point, I'm just using Trop Kick for the Attack debuff, I could be running Charm on my Tsareena and get more out of it than her signature move! Fuck!
By that very same thread, I hate fire types! Well, I don't hate them, I really only dislike Charizard, but I hate that Fire Pokemon get all the promotion (again, Charizard) and Grass starters get nothing. Chikorita is my FAVORITE and it gets shat on both on and off /vp/, while everyone sings the praises of Cyndaquil. I remember looking up glitches/guides on Gold version when I was younger and one of the "guides" went like 'If you want to win, don't pick Chikorita.' It's a dumb thing to be mad about, but dammit! I love the cute little onion dino but I feel so alone in my love for both it and grass types in general.
On a side note, I adore Silvally but it sucks! Why do all the things I like have to suck ass competitively! I feel like I have to put in 4x as much effort to run Pokemon I like and still lose. I won't deny that I'm awful at Pokemon, but I wish the Pokemon I liked were good enough to carry me like the people who love Charizard. Mega Charizard is so fucking strong! I wish I had a Mega Meganium that could auto set weather and fire off Solarbeams while also having another mega that makes it the strongest phys sweeper in the game! Fuck Charizard! I want Ivysaur back in Smash too! Fuck!!!!
