>>48843535>>48843613Autistic Temtem Anon here, thought I might as well expand on what I said about Temtem since most of the time /vp/ have no fucking clue about the game.
The music is pretty mid. It's not bad but it's not great. Nothing really stands out as being a bop and a lot of the themes you just forget about. The rival's battle theme is good though.
One thing I like about Temtem over Pokemon is there's no RNG shit in battles. No crits, no damage roles, no inaccurate moves, no "10% chance to freeze" shit. All status effects (sleep, poison, burn, cold, frozen, bind, trapped, exhausted) all last for a set number of turns which is displayed under the Temtems HP bar.
Temtem devs also put an emphasis on competitive. Like I said before it's all doubles and comp follows a different ruleset where you actually start with a team of 8 Temtem and you go through a pick/ban phase with your opponent until it's a 5 Vs 5. There are also official tournaments and ranked baked into the game. Comp is good! I've fucked around with it a little and the meta is very expressive with a lot of choices to choose from. You have your usual "OU" suspects but I've seen some underrated Tems make appearances in tournament finals.
Even though it's early access and incomplete there's a fuckton of content to do after the main quest. There's fishing contest, breeding, shiny hunting, dojo leader rematch, building your house, saipark (discount safari zone) and probably the best thing to do; Lairs (basically like a mini dungeon crawler with rental Temtems where you team up with other players and at the end you get to fight a Mythical Temtem, actually really fun Youtube it if interested)
I think for the majority of /vp/ there's something here for everyone. Shiny hunting fags, comp fags and muh difficulty fags all get treated nicely in Temtem.
