>>50875171>liking one of the two actually well written characters in PMD2 is being a contrarianI'm not going to pretend he is a saint, he IS a pretty big dick to you early game, but it's 100% justified if you bother to look at it from his viewpoint. he's the right-hand man of an actual manchild who can't lead a guild for shit and will go fucking apeshit if he does not get what he wants, which will put both him and anyone in the vicinity in danger, if I worked under someone like that constantly I would be eternally pissy too, his perfect apple outburst may seem excessive but it's entirely justified from his viewpoint
not to mention he learns to be less hard on you throughout the game culminating in him almost sacrificing his life to protect you during brine cave, and helps you during the manaphy arc with minimal conflict, making him one of the only characters in the game with an actual character arc besides dusknoir
it boggles my mind how people constantly overrate the shit out of explorers yet almost universally shit on one of the few actually well written characters in its disaster of a plot
