It is a video game. If you like it, you do, and if you do not, then you simply do not. But there is no reason to insult and attack those who hold different opinions.
Plus, a Pokemon Legends Unova could be an opportunity to improve the elements you dislike.

If you don't already mentally answer every question of "Why does GameFreak do X?" with "Because they and the majority of the diehard fanbase have the collective IQ of a chimp." then you're clearly new to the franchise.

It's a video game, nothing has to make sense. If you need a headcanon reason just imagine that Mega Stones are so important that your Pokemon holds onto them really, really hard. There you go.

Zoomers will literally never ever experience a cultural phenomenon like Gen 1+2 Pokemania ever again. Ironically the closest they will ever have experienced was the PokemonGO summer. There was Pokemon spaghettio ccollectible can labels. Shit was insane. I still have the Dragonite keychain toy from Burger King, back when fast food places gave out good shit to kids like those golden plate cards in Pokeballs for the movie. Culture is fractured now due to internet instead of unified into giant cultural landmarks.

However, in terms of gaming, it's right now, since you can play the best of all previous generation games.

Why are there level 40+ Stage 1 Pokemon out roaming around in Scarlet and Violet's "open world"? The leveling makes no sense.

Should be:
>1st evolution stage Pokemon appear in the wild at lvls 1-20
>2nd stage appears lvls 20-40

I've said this so many times, the design is a mess, it looks blocky like a roblox monster for no reason, it's too overdesigned and a mesh of different design points that doesn't really combine very well, like, the bird thing, singing, skeletal, clown, dia de los muertos, spanish cocollona, and more. They tried too hard. Whoever was in charge of supervising the designs clearly weren't doing their job. And this is a problem with a lot other Gen 9 mons in general, not only Skeledirge.
