Im super optimistic for the over all gameplay. They already said, this is for pokemon fans and not going to be an entry level type of game meaning there will be plenty of options to sperg out while raising and breeding mons. I mainly hope for two things:
1) I just hope wifi battles will be smooth. I expect since the service is payed for and it is now on the switch, match-making should be a breeze and fully enjoyable.
2) I want to be blown off my feet by the scenery. I feel like the story will just as good as it has ever been (good but nothing revolutionary because they must appeal to kids as well) But this might be my favorite game of all time if they can make me jizz via scenery porn. I want to be impressed by the artistic direction but the detail of the models and the work in animation. Im thinking something like Metroid Prime 3, where I was playing and graphics made me say "they can really do this on the wii?" Imagine walking at night and the sky is LIT UP with glowy stars and milky galaxies casting light beams down on swaying grass as you walk. And they can do SO MUCH with the forests and water.
TL;DR: Im optimistic that this game will be amazing, but it will be perfect if they can get online battles just right and make the graphics and aesthetics so good, that people will hold a new standard.
