Pokken has a different art direction than the main games. Neither the updated models from New Pokémon Snap, which was made by the same team as Pokken, or the updated models in Arceus had them. Just look at the abomination that is Pokken blastoise.

Blastoise is just a shit design really. Even Pokken had to awkwardly stretch its stubby proportions to make it function in that environment.

I'm generally a fan of how Pokken handled the adaptation of Pokemon designs, but blastoise does look pretty fucked up. The model looks good in a few specific poses, though (praise the rain being one of them).
