>>53461502It's okay. I'm 23/61 chapters in and I think I'll keep reading, but it feels like a story I might lose track of. I appreciate the pokemon perspective, even if it's a bit forced sometimes. I wish it were used for more of a xenofiction angle, but it seems most of that died off pretty early on. The trainer turned from a jerk to a Good Guy on a dime, which was pretty disappointing too. I think the biggest issue is that way too much time and text is spent on battles and calling out move names when character interactions should be the focal point of a story like this. The word count is way less impressive when you realize a third or more of it just skimmable fights.
Also, the way pokemon interrupt battles to explain their Ability to each other reminds of Jojo's.
