Or do you mean stopped giving money to Ishihara? If so, I bought Sword used so I could play online on official servers and haven't bought any new merch of any kind since before the Gen 8 reveal trailer. I have only done a few battles online as opposed to hundreds of hours I put into previous games even with the GTS exploit / pkhex exploit for hacking. I'm not giving them any more of my money and I will be buying future games I want to play used.
