>>43248837Do you not see how small each DLC is compared to the price it's being sold at? Obviously we'll have to see how well it does sell, but if it sells well then I'm sure we'll get a few more next year. Whether that's good or bad is up to you.
>>43248795I have total faith they will now while before SwSh I was convinced they weren't. Masuda and staff doubled down that there would be absolutely no Pokemon being added into the Dex with DLC. Then a few weeks after they go and announce adding both new and old Pokemon into the Dex.
Maybe they wanted it to be a secret? But confirming there would be updates literally would have killed Dexit. So either that 'leak' about Game Freak breaking the code to mass import older animations were true and they're taking time to continue manually importing them or Game Freak got legitimately concerned about all the complaints.
Either way, I had no hope the games would be updated, but now that we know it's an option, I don't see why it's hard to believe they would keep doing it? Especially when they have more than half the Dex already animated now and are definitely working on a new Game with the same Engine, meaning by the time the already announced updates are patched in, +60% of the Dex will be done, so tacking on some to development of the next game, they could all be done.
The only way I can see SwSh not getting the full Dex now is if they do what they did with XY and ORAS, adding new content in ORAS without updating XY. Meaning that whatever the next main-line games are (Probably Sinnoh remakes), I think they'll have the whole Dex.
