What if Dragon Types were surrounded by a kind of aura in battle? (but not in online competitive.) One that made fighting them a bit of a task? Or is this idea gay? I dunno, I kinda feel like the problem lies with the designs or handling of the dragons themselves somehow.
There must be some sort of psychological trick you could use to make Pokémon's dragons feel more like Smaug and less like Pete's Dragon. They ought to impose…But I'm just glad we have Dragon as a Type at all in the first place to be honest.
