I've been drawing all my life for fun, and recently have tried my hand animating and am having tons of fun doing it as a hobbyist. The biggest sense of joy I get is my kid laughing at my cartoons, not the idea of quitting my day job so I can make characters for someone else. Don't just assume that everyone measures success the same way you do. The fact you think people should use their extremely limited time on Earth adhere to your extremely narrow idea of success instead of just doing what they want is an attitude on this site way more abhorrent than all the fetish art on /vp/, /aco/, and /d/ combined.
