They perform rather well in-game, were my starters back on the GameCube; but most of all, Umbreon and Espeon are such an aesthetically-pleasing couple. I suppose I do kind of self-insert as the former; as in, many of Umbreon's supposed personality traits match mine.
I don't believe The Pokémon Company will ever design another pairing as well-received as these two; they'll just come and go, you know?
