In many gacha games, there's a (relatively) early point when the game will give you an interesting character chosen at random
When you reroll, you get up to this point, hope that the game will give you a character you like, and if you do then you continue playing, but if you don't, your delete the save data and restart the game
If this point doesn't exist you just have to retry again and again until you get what you want
In Masters' case, the target is earning (3000 gems) to 10 Sync Scouts (3000), as the launch event will guarantee that you get a 5* Sync Pair on the 10th scout
Rerolling may be hard/long depending on how much gems they will give at launch, this was really long in the demo as there wasn't any guaranteed 5* event back then
