>>55532941That's what I've been saying. Especially with Megas returning, it's very likely that the Kalos starters will get Megas since they missed out in their debut. And if they're getting Megas, might as well have them be starters again.
Like you said, unlike BDSP where you'd have the same selection of starters months apart, you'd have the Kalos starters like a decade apart.
BUT that's not guaranteed.
Regional starters in PLA were very well received, so it makes sense that they'd do more. And starters getting regional forms doesn't stop the Kalos starters from getting Megas.
In X and Y, you chose a starter that could NOT Mega Evolve, then later got a second selection of starters that COULD. They could do the same this time, but with the second set actually being Kalos starters with Megas.
I give it a 50/50 on what we get.
Personally I'm hoping for the Kalos starters again. I much prefer Chesnaught to Serperior, who I see as the most likely Grass starter to get a regional form. Plus, OG Serperior is stupid strong, a regional form might not be.
