This. Serperior is mega based as the only serpent starter. And Samurott pulls off a quadrupedal swordsman very well which is also a very interesting twist. Emboar doesn't have anything that breakthrough going on about it, but it's a solid myth-based design.

Emboar is genuinely overhated. Yeah, Fire/Fighting was used for the third time in a row, so what? Its fun as fuck type combo and being mono Fire would've been way more boring. You also never see anyone complain about Typhlosion being a 1:1 stat clone of Charizard.

People bring that up about that all the time, It’s one of the main arguments uses again Typhlosion (and even Johto as a whole) to the point where It’s constantly called some variant of “wingless Charizard”or “diet Charizard” due to having Charizard’s stats but none of the the constantly stream of worship Charizard gets. It’s gotten to the point where normies hate Typhlosion as much as Game Freak does.
